We had a lot of fun with Gigi and the day of her portrait photo shoot. With Gigi moving a week later back to New York, we wanted to make the most of the time and were able to produce four different looks. The first look was inspired by Calvin Klien’s classic jeans and underwear styling. Gigi went all out on creating a mood board for us as to how she pictured this vibe of her own portrait session. We made sure this look was a top priority with how much effort she put into the prep phase. We loved how comfortable she was in front of the camera when she started suggesting striking poses that weren’t on her mood board! We knew our second look would be quick and easy by this time. Since Tabitha had already applied natural makeup for the first look, we jumped right into the beauty-style portraits. Andres chose a background color similar to Gigi’s skin tone; the only focus was her beautiful features. After capturing Gigi’s unique expressions, Andres transformed the third set into a more dramatic editorial portrait style. Tabitha added an old Hollywood glam makeup application on Gigi that would suit the red chain dress she wore for this set. Andres, the creative light technician he is, made it look like she was in the spotlight on stage! Lastly, we ended the portrait session with a more tropical vibe. We turned a scarf into a decorative top and changed Gig’s lip color to contrast the colors on the set. Andres guides the person through poses and expressions throughout the photo session, while Tabitha assists with the photo effects or styling to ensure a stress-free photo session.
